Educational support program for pupils. On 28/01/2021, Helpers Social Development Foundation continued with the Back to School campaign. We visited Community primary school, Obeagu Uno, in Enugu State, Nigeria. We educated school pupils on body safety and also supported school pupils with exercise books to support their education. 105 pupils were given excise books. Out of 105 pupils,19 orphans in the school who are struggling to buy a complete book pack were selected and supported with a complete book pack to continue their education.
The Headmistress while speaking with us thanks Helpers Social Development Foundation for coming and remembering their school during this difficult time. Headmistress highlighted some of the challenges facing the school most especially the use of open defecation by teachers and pupils in the school. She appealed for urgent help to save lives in the school.
We hope to renovate the toilet before the raining season starts to save lives and restore hope in the school. $700 will enable us to build water easy toilet in the community primary school, Obeagu Uno. Supporting this project means the world to vulnerable children and their teachers. With your help, these children will be able to continue going to school each day and remain healthy.
