Children Academic Support Examination In Ebonyi State. HSDF in partnership with sunset international Examination organized children academic support examination for children in different secondary and primary schools in Ebonyi State Nigeria. The programme was held d at Ebonyi State University Secondary School, Ebonyi State, Nigeria.
The aim of the programme was to support children who come out successful in the examination financially by giving them money to support their education. It was also aimed at encouraging learning and reading among school children.
726 students from different primary and secondary schools participated. They comprise 406 females and 300 males.
Parents, guardians and teachers of the students were presents, to witness the examination. The parents were so happy about the programme.
WHAT PARENTS SAID CONCERNING HSDF PROGRAM
- Interviewed parent said the programme made her children indulge in reading, putting more effort in their studies in other to be successful. Children who participated in the programme studied hard to come successful. The programme is very good because of education transform society for good.
- Another parent said the programme will help brilliant children from a poor background to know the dividend of education and benefit of reading hard.
HSDF contributed fund for the success of the programme. The programme was sponsored by spirited people in society. The result of the examination was announced one (1) month after the examination. 32 students came out successfully in the primary school section while 40 were successful in the secondary school section.
The cash price of N10, 000 each was given to those in primary schools while N15,000 each were given to those in secondary schools.
