If you have time to give and the commitment to make development happen in Africa, we invite you to volunteer abroad through Helpers Social Development Foundation. HSDF abroad volunteering program is a way for volunteers to help our organization to make more development happen in our community.
We need volunteers to perform the following task but you can choose another type of volunteering project depending on the type of experience you want to involve with Helpers Foundation and get free online volunteer certificate.
Opportunity for abroad volunteer programs in Africa below:
- Volunteer teaching abroad : Volunteer to teach in our nursery and primary school . Volunteer project with children if you determine to see children succeed in education.
- Public Health awareness: Volunteer to teach women about maternal health, improve nutrition, HIV and AIDS awareness, hygiene, water security etc.
- Women’s Empowerment program: Volunteer to contribute to women empowerment by volunteering, teach income opportunities to women and young girls in Nigeria.
- Sports volunteer program: As a volunteer, you can coach and take part in sporting activities that involve children in schools and youths in various rural communities. This will help to boost children and youth confidence in sports.
- I want to volunteer in another area, we welcome your ideal.
- Fundraising program: Fundraising during your stay in Nigeria to support our free education project for orphans and vulnerable pupils.
-Volunteer applying to volunteer with us abroad needs to be flexible, open-minded individuals who have a passion for working with people in different religions.
-Someone applying needs to be proactive and have the ability to take initiative.
-Foreign volunteers must provide and forward He or Her scan international passport and a brief CV to partners@helpersfoundation.org for possible consideration. This will help us to submit your application to the Immigration department for your arrival.
-Interact with rural people to learn about age-old traditions and cultural practices in Nigeria.
-Volunteer for a meaningful project and gain first-hand international work experience.
-Enjoy some of the best local foods from our native’s kitchen.
-Travel to any part of south-eastern Nigeria at else.
-Opportunity to volunteer in local hospitals and high institutions, public and private institutions in South-eastern Nigeria during your visit to Nigeria.

Volunteer certificate
Volunteers need to pay $150 weekly for HSDF volunteer house maintenance. We offer a 5% discount for group volunteers.
This will help us to continue accepting foreign volunteers at no extra cost to them.
Program implementation fee (optional). A volunteer can decide whether he or she wants to implement any project during her visit to Nigeria. Please note: a volunteer will be responsible for the project she wants to implement.
